About Shawn's Rideshare:
In June 2008, Shawn's Rideshare began as a weekly commute from home, in Southern Oregon, to work, in the Bay Area.  Recognizing the need for an affordable, reliable, and safe passenger transportation solution, Shawn's Rideshare became a small business enterprise in January 2011.  Moving along into 2012, Shawn's Rideshare is committed to continuing to provide an affordable, reliable, and safe, passenger transportation service.

Shawn's Rideshare provides a full time "door-to-door" rideshare shuttle service between Southern Oregon (Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass) and the Bay Area (Santa Cruz, South Bay, Peninsula, San Francisco, North Bay, East Bay).  For further reference, Shawn's Rideshare has been featured in newspaper articles by the Medford Mail Tribune 'Takes Car-Pooling All The Way', the Sacramento News and Review 'Low-Gas Getaway', and is also on Facebook 'Shawn's Rideshare Group' for comments and reviews.  Also, check out 'Shawn's Rideshare: Thoughtful Transportation' promotional video.

Central Pick-Up & Drop-Off Service:
When making a reservation, please indicate if you are able to arrange to be picked-up, or dropped-off, at a central location (locations are described below). This option is easy, helps expedite the commute, and will save you some money.

Door-to-Door Pick-Up & Drop-Off Service:
When making a reservation, please indicate if you require a "door-to-door" pick-up or drop-off, to a specific address or location (as opposed to being picked-up or being dropped off at a central location). Door-to-Door service costs a bit more, but is more convenient for some riders.

Door-to-Door Scope of Service:
Shawn's rideshare provides door-to-door service to over 90 cities located throughout Southern Oregon, Northern California, the Sacramento Valley, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Click here to determine if your location is within scope of service.

Bay Area / Southern Oregon Saturday Express Service:
This service is only available on Saturday. A rideshare departure from Southern Oregon to the Bay Area, and a rideshare departure from the Bay Area to Southern Oregon Oregon, will take place simultaneously with the operation of two vehicles. This is an expedited service, as ridership will be limited to 6-passengers (each direction); which provides extra comfort and a streamlined commute.

Rideshare Rig:
Shawn's Rideshare operates a late model Ford E350 passenger van, which provides a comfortable and spacious ride. Complimentary beverage, snacks, and movie entertainment are available. To ensure a safe journey, Shawn's Rideshare adheres to strict Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines and regulations including, but not limited to: controlled substances and alcohol use and testing, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) standards, driving of commercial motor vehicles, and inspection, repair, and maintenance oversight.

Luggage Recommendations:
A carry-on (to stow at your feet) along with two medium sized bags (or a single large bag), not weighing more than 50lbs (combined), is permitted. All luggage (excluding carry-on) will be securely stowed atop the van roof box. For excess luggage, an additional charge may apply. Please enquire.

Bicycle Friendly:
Shawn's Rideshare Rig has a standard bicycle trunk rack, which will accommodate up to 2 bicycles. Please enquire beforehand if you wish to bring along your bicycle (subject to space and availability).

Pet Friendly:
Pets that are 'travel friendly' will be welcome to participate in the rideshare. Accommodations are basic; which means pet must sit on your lap or on the floorboard between your feet. Pet size, weight and temperament restrictions are currently at Shawn's discretion. Pet must be groomed and brushed before departure. A $20 pet clean-up fee may be applicable for excessive clean-up.

Cost of Service:
Central Location to Central Location Service: Base rate is $55 per person
Door-to-Door Service: Base rate ($55 per person) plus additional $20 for pick-up / $20 for drop-off
Express Saturday Service: Base rate ($55 per person) and Door-to-Door Service fee (if applicable)
